Location: South side | I Have A Global map 100. That I know how to use very well. But I want to get something with a Bigger Screen for the boat. These Are What im looking at A Lowrance 3000mt Which They discontinued this year But I Can Get Last years model for $500.00. Or A Lowrance 4000m $ 600.00 as far as I can see the only difference is Screen size. But the Navionics Fishing Hot spots Map At 129.00 Per Reign Or a Garmin 162 for $ 419.00 and another $ 100.00 For The Hot spots Map CD With all the Lakes. My Question is out of these 3 witch The Best and Why? I would like to hear from someone who has used them. And is The Navionics Fishing Hot spots Map card Better Then The CD With Hotspots Maps or are they the same. Thank You |

| I have the X-15MT. Same resolution, 480X350 as the 4000M. I bought the Hotspot maps last year, and they were off on some lakes. I traded them in this year for 2 new regions, plus $129. They have way more lakes on the new regions. 200 more lakes than on the Garmin CD version. Plus, with the MMC's, I don't have to download them to my unit.
It appears they have corrected the accuracy problems. At least they seem better on Pewaukee, Okauchee, and the Bago chain. Overall, I really like my X-15. Garmin makes a good unit, but the resolution of the Lowrance tilts it in Lowrance's favor. My opinion, but I really like Lowrance products. |
