This goes for true Muskie, not Hybrid Tiger Muskies.

80 degrees is usually the water temperature we stop fishing. In southern water such as Cave Run Lake in Kentucky and such, for how long are water temperatures usually at or over 80 degrees? Do these southern Muskie lakes ever get into the 90's? What is the time frame from which the water usually hits 80 degrees and when it dips back down below 80? Do these waters ever reach 90 degrees? For an extended time period? Just how far south do Muskies live? The farthest southern Lake?

Thank you for any and all information you are able to share!

Can't answer your temp questions, but true muskies are known to be native into some northern Alabama rivers.

..as well as some of the river systems in E. Tenn. W. North Carolina, and Virginia. They are also stocked in some waters in TN., and NC. (don't know about VA).Water temps usually approach 80 by Memorial Day, and it's not uncommon to see temps approaching 90 during the dog days of summer. The temps usually start falling by the first of October as the TVA and the Corps of Engineers start dropping the system to winter levels.

Have seen 93° on a musky lake in sw Missouri late August several times while out scouting and breaking in new outboards.
