| The Cabela's Fish Eagle II 6'2" Muskie Rod is rated for 1-3 oz lures. Has anyone here seen or tried one? I was wondering if they had enough stiffness for jerkbaits. I mainly throw 6" Reef Hogs and 9" Suicks.
Cabelas has a nice combo deal going where you can get any of the Fish Eagle II rods and a Abu C5 for $119.98. I wanted a C5 anyway for my light bucktail rod and I thought maybe I could sneak in a decent shorter jerkabit rod on the deal.
Muchos gracias! |

| Stik I have two of the original Cabela's Fish Eagles. Bought mine somewhere around 1990. I am still using both of them. I have only one problem with mine. Blew a jerkbait rod up in very cold weather. I shipped it back to them and received a brand new one no questions asked. If the II's are anything like the originals they'll do good for ya. Scott |

Location: Davenport, IA | I had the 7'6" and caught a couple fish on it before it broke. I tried talking to cabelas but the people on the phone were not very pleasant. They said I could send it back and maybe or maybe not they'll send a new one. I don't call that service. I never sent the thing in. The reel that comes with their combos is crap too. That broke my 2nd time out with it. |

| I have had a Fish Eagle 6'2" rod since 1987. I have used it trolling 10" Jakes and Casting Bucktails to Reef Hawgs. The rod is scratched and nicked up but it still keeps going. I have caught a lot of muskies on this rod. I have a $200.00 Fenwick in my boat and I find myself using my beat up Cabela's rod. It is probablly the best all around rod I have ever owned for muskies! I plan on buying a new one this spring. If it is half as good as my old one I would be satisfied. The price is right also. |
