| I've been thinking lately about why I catch so many Muskies between 28 and 38 inches. A couple things I came up with are, and, a few may sound off base. Once a fish reaches 25 inches, the mortallity rate should be next to zero, unless, it is put on the wall, or in the pan, or a bad release. If this is true, then, there should be more pigs hooked. I contend that there may be, more bigger fish, but, they feed in places, and on diets, that the kids don't. (put a kid and Shaq in front of a candy store and an all you can eat buffet and they will go in different doors). Could it be that the smaller fish are eating bass, perch, and bluegills, in the shallows, and, the big girls are chasing the silver and gold of the sisco and suckers down deep? |
