Subject: Sucker on Long Trips

I'm taking a trip out of town that is about 4-5 hours away from home. The area I am going to is very difficult to get suckers so I want to bring about 20-30 suckers with me. What is the best way to...

1. Transport them up to the area
2. Keep them alive all week. I will not have access to a dock.

Thanks in advance

Jamie I used to haul suckers around too. Used a huge cooler with some ice and a large tote with a good lid.
Get a portable sucker pen ...Make a cheap one out of a frame with chicken wire... Hip boots work great.

I bought a big rectangular coleman....I then drilled 2 small holes just under the lid for the frabill aerator tubes so i can run 1 or 2 aerators..in the garage i use the electric ones...when transporting the portable ones shown in pic....just cut a slit in the cooler to hang them on...you can use this as a sucker tank for weeks in your garage but you have to change the water once a day or when it gets cloudy to keep suckers fresh...lid shuts pretty tight and doesn't splash water around in the truck....

BNelson,
If it wasn't for that ugly "W" on that cooler, you'd have a cool system.
I actually use something very simlar, except i use a aquarium filter. I can go about 5-7 days before i have to clean out the screen. Suckers sure are dirty!
