How is this lake, it is over fished? Is it over-rated? Do people like to harvest fish from there? What is the best time, ect....

Any information would be great and greatly appreciated. If you don't want to post info here please e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks,
Mike Hulbert

Hey,

I haven't fished it much but did two weeks ago for twelve hours with out seeing a thing. Talked to the bait shop owner that is right on the lake and he said it has been a very slow late summer and fall. They had 46 registered fish at the store and the majority were taken in June-July I guess? Most where released and there were some upper 40's in the bunch so there are some nicer fish swimming around in Little Green. MuskieE told me that Big Green has better trophy potential....he would know better than me, he lives in the area. Hope this helps.

Little Green is very overrated. Its a tough lake to fish in summer do to sever alage bloom. The lake use to be a great lake for muskies but seems to be falling off latley. As far a big green being a better trophy potental, yes to a degree. There are not a lot of fish in big green but there are some slobs, Its a lot of big deep water to try and fish, but If your willing to put in the time Ie about 20 years of fishing you might get one out of there.LOL

there was a 52" tiger fyke netted in big green this year and i ve seen and heard of severial fish over 45" boated out of big green.best time to fish these lakes is early near opener or late fall.both times the fish will be shallow and easy to find being they will relate to structure better at this time.
