What is good to use to get scale pattern such as the one in the foil jerkbait thread below this post???? i really need help with my scale pattern

Go to YouTube and search solarbaits. He has a video that shows that exact method.

its quite simple you just cut the "scales" with a fine carpet knife or something similar from a piece of plastic or you could just use a hollow hole punches and whack a row of holes to the plastic and then cut the thing in half, witch might be more easier to be honest than to use the first method. also i think there is also scissors that cut in away that it looks like the stencil i use in the video.
