| Anyone know if the Abu Garcia ic3 is a good musky reel? I believe it has a 4.3:1 gear ratio. Any experience with it? |

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | I don't own one, but have heard good things, however I know the 7000 series is pretty heavy. I thought about buying one and decided not to because of the weight. With how long I am on the water and how many days a year I am out. I was worried that it would fatigue me to much.

Location: Eastern Ontario | I've used them for 30 years for trolling and casting bucktails without issues but I have large hands and can comfortably palm the reel. When fishing out of someone else's boat I can live with 2 rods one for jerkbaits (6500)and one for bucktails and trolling (7000). |

| They are big, bulky, and heavy (about 20 oz). That being said, they pull 10s fairly well and they are fairly inexpensive. The "downside" is that the line pick up is in the low 20s. For slow rolling it's the way to go, but if you want to burn go with a Saltist. |
