Location: Minneconia | Hey guys,
Not a musky question, but I'm thinking about taking the fam up near the Boundary Waters area this summer and would like any suggestions for lake and resort recommendations. The kids are 7 so something with a beach and other amenities yet have the wilderness type feel...was thinking Crane/Kab/Rainy type lake. We go to V usually but we're trying to get away from the crowds this summer...any help would be appreciated! |

| Pelican near orr is a great lake for kids. About as easy to fish as they come. Several have a nice beach. I've personally stayed at Island View. In fact, it was my first up north experience when I was about 8 yrs old. I took my daughter up there 3 summers ago when she was 8 (weeks old). I've also stayed at Aspen. You can't go wrong with either. Have fun. |

Location: minocqua, wi. | i'm doing the same thing with the same purpose and i selected Idlewild Resort on kabetogama ... www.idlewildresort.com ... it's 20 minutes from pelican/orr so you can do some bouncing around from there too. i met the owners who have operated this place for like 28 years and have a good reputation.
