Muskie Fishing -> General Discussion -> T'ing hooks

Message Subject: T'ing hooks

I have purchased a few lures recently that have the hooks T'd already.
Do they come from the manufacturer like that?
Are T'd hooks subject to bending and are they weakened by bending?
After using them, I like the fact that they don't scratch the hell out of the side of the lure like the regular hooks do.
Any thoughts or feedback?

I "T" my hooks... but have never seen them come that way from the manufacturer. Where did you see this? Main reason I do it is to help keep my baits looking "pretty". Only scratches I want on my baits are from Ski Teeth.... not hook wear.

I seen a better hooking percentage on Hog Wobblers when the middle hook was T'ed.

I as well have started "T"ing my hooks since JLong clued me in on it. I haven't noticed much of an effect on hooking fish (positively or negatively).
