| Has anyone used anything like this for clearcoating ? It comes in a spray can. In place of evirotex? It can be used on all painted wood ,furniture, trim, cabinets, doors and toys (lures). It also comes in a Floor Finish which probably would be stronger. Could this also be applied over already finished lures to add another coat ? |

Location: Okoboji | i wouldn't do it. just scuff it and used a thinned etex with a little bit of denatured alcohol just a tiny bit and brush on and hit it with hair dryer to get the bubbles out and let it hand and drip off. |

| I use similar products on the glides I make. I make the baits out of pine and want them to be buoyant so I can get a good side to side and dive and rise action. When I've used etex the action I get isn't as good-I probably dont have the mix exactly right. Now the spray-ons will suffer hook rash and tooth damage like a suick , for example, but for ease of use and consistent action on wood baits I like the spray-ons. Quick and easy-consistent coat, not mixing mess ups etc. My baits will typically last a couple of seasons and then I knock out a bunch more during the winter. |
