Location: Illinois | Hi everyone,
Me and a few buddies are heading up in late august to fish some Minnesota lakes. We are stayin at the Little Wolf Resort, which is an awesome place, and are looking for any information on the ski and walleye in Little Wolf and the surrounding lakes. I have read there are good populations of fish in Little Wolf and Big Wolf. We were there in July and had thirteen to the boat but no takers. Tried many different lures and patterns but couldn't get any to commit. Anyone have any tips for getting fish on there? |

| Lots of good lakes in that area. little wolf is a fine lake, but you'll definitely want to get out to others because it can be fished in an afternoon. I spend time on bemidji and plantag everytime i'm in the area. And I like andrusia on the cass chain for walleye and overlooked muskies. Bullrushes can hold fish that time of year. night fishing will help with the lookers. go back after them after dark. i've had luck with dark colored bucktails on dark/windy days. Big, slow topwaters too.

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | I think the fishing is picking up finally. It has almost been the year that refused to start, then got HOT just like that...bang. The fish are more likely to atleast go into an 8 now. You should have a good trip. maybe someone from up that way could contribute to where to launch on Big Wolf as that is a bad landing for parked vehicles. |

Location: Illinois | Thanks for the info and I can't wait to get up there! I will definitely try the night bite. In July it was tough because we were out all day and it didn't even get dark till ten. I have my fingers crossed for good weather and hungry fish!
