I posted this in general forum then thought it might be better here. Since I live where people have no idea about big toothy fish I need some help. What are some of the treble hooks you like to use on 6"-9" lures? What size and brand? Not much here to buy so I have to order everything. Any help would be great.

I like the VMC 9626 4x strong trebles, I use them on 95% of the lures I build. On a 6" lure, I'd use a 3/0 or 4/0 and on a 8-9" lure, I'd use the 5//0.

Thanks the biggest I could get was a #2 not 2/0 just 2 if you can believe that. They did have some 8/0 and 10/0 for snagging catfish but nothing in between. I need the bigger hooks to make the bait run level.

Check out Shortys Hook online. They can get anything you want and any amount. Thats where I buy all my hooks.
