Location: Not far enough north! | Guys,
I found a new 2008 1760 GC. How much should I be able to get off the asking price? Looks like it's been outside without a cover. Has a 115 two stroke on it.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | As much as the dealer is willing to offer. Pricing is not something negotiated by message board, unfortunately. Better to ask for a retail price on a new boat, and compare the two prices. |

Location: Not far enough north! | I know there are no rules on given percentage per year or anthing like that. Just curious if anyone has ever had experience buying a non current boat. This boat as an 08 has been sitting for quite a while and I'm thinking they might be willing to deal to get it off the lot. I just don't know what kind of margin they have to work (if any) with or if they are in a "need to sell" situation.

| compare it to a used boat of the same model and year as a starting point when talking to the dealer.
- add in the value of the new boat/motor warranty
- add in the value of the better condition that a new boat will be in
- assume the used boat depreciates faster (esp look at hours on the motor)
- consider differences in electronics (used boat might have them, new might not)
