Location: beloit | my wife and I wil be camping in the area in a couple weeks and she would like to do some bluegil fishing, anybody have any suggestions on where we could get into some? I don't have a boat so it would have to be from shore or if any place rents boats that would be an option too. any info would be great, thanks in advance. |

| Not much in that area for bluegills. Look 20 miles NNE to Kangaroo Lake, the CTH E causeway on the north end has its moments, usually in spring. Look 20 miles S to the Alaska Lakes, limited shore fishing opportunities but some nice fish can be had, don't know about boat rentals. Look 12 miles S to Forestville Millpond, not a first choice in my book. I have caught some bluegills from the Green Bay waters up there, can't recommend with any certainty but when you do find some, they are usually nice sized, and gone tomorrow if you know what I mean. |

Location: beloit | thanks much thats exactly the info i was looking for since I don't mind driving a little bit and the wife will like the scenery. would there be any chance of musky from the sawyer harbor area? we are staying at the state park there and thought it might be fun to try. |
