So I was letting the creative juices flow the other night and thought "what if you tried to use a spoon blank as a blade; would it work." So I found a spoon blank and whipped up a tail quick. I have yet to test it in the water but I have a feeling it might not work. Looks pretty cool though, in my opinion. I will let you know if it works or not as I am gonna try anf get it in the water some time today. Any thoughts or constructive criticism if greatly apprecited.

Thanks,
Matt Percival

Perc,

Great idea. I have a bunch of spoons, and think of the thump they would put on a spinnerbait. I think I will try to whip something up this weekend, and see if the pond at the park is ice free.

It is a great idea. You're right, only certain spoons will work, but some of my spoons that didn't work on an inline worked on a spinnerbait so keep that in mind. I've used a super thin spoon that was quite flat and it thumps like crazy on an inline. Great idea.

I just put it in the water for 3 casts and it spun around the shaft of the bait and gave it this weird oblong swimming action while being reeled in. We'll give it a try this summer and see what happens.
