What is the difference in performance, between say, Mason crimps, and Berkley Sleeves, when making Flouro leaders? Are these sleeves even the same thing as a crimp?

Not sure about either of those. I've had the best luck with double barrel crimps for flouro leaders. You can order them off muskytackleonline.com.

Go with the Mason double barrel sleeves and crimp them down tight.

Send me an IM if interested and I'll send you more specifics.

Yep, you want double barrel sleaves. I use the ones out of the offshore angler catalog. They're black. I think they're called mini double barrel sleaves.
