Waited for some cloud cover. Have to see a Dr. tomorrow or probably would have waited another day. It was a still day and starting fishing aprox. 10:30 and it was dead. Had to run well into the bottom of the lake to find active shad, with temps at about 60. Middle portions were goopy green, upper portions clearer as were lower portions. I believe this lake turns over in portions and I am guessing the lower, warmer surface section, has not flipped yet.

Fish not as active as last week but saw a few with one good one and a couple smaller ones noted. Seem a little boat shy. Saw a few hanging bass in the 2-3 lb range, and they were even less active than the musky. Really thought things would be popping a little today. I did stay until dark-thirty today because I felt I had the fish pretty well scoped, and still had a good chance at multiple fish day. That didn't happen, but a one fish day isn't anything you batch about in KY.

Was going to hand land this fish due to the wrap, and not wanting to net it, but when I grabbed, this one was too wide to get a grip on. Snapped a pic in the water before starting the unwrapping, unhooking process, always kind of a pain in the dark in the water. Luckily fish thrashed around one more time shortly after this, and left me only one wind and one hook to undo when it was done. I would guess somewhere between 37-58" ...
