I am toying with a return to the Big V next year. I have a Lowrance LCX 38 hd. What chip do you recommend? Thanks.

I asked one of the better known guides on the lake that very question and he told me to go with Lakemaster.

Lakemaster chips were good to me. I heard there were issues with the the accuracy of the reefs, islands, etc. on Vermilion with the 2009 Navionics chips. You may want to call up Thorne Bros. to find out if Navionics is coming out with updated maps of Vermilion.
