| Hey Everyone,
Heading up there this week. Any advice would be appreciated. Looking at muskie and some smallies. How about top-water action? What lures and colors? What patterns?
Thanks ahead, Doug |

Location: minocqua, wi. | great chain, lots of variety ... fishing really was good with the hotter weather that rolled in on saturday. be prepared for peak summer boat traffic as the summer tourista season winds into the last weekends prior to school starting. don't let that deter you from the chain though, it's a great place to fish and if you take a look at the numbers and sizes from the wmt results you'll get reinforcement for that as well.
i've focused on the bass in tom and kawaguesaga the last couple years and you won't find better waters for both numbers and size of bass. musky fishing is also good and maybe a little tougher to zero in on productive spots but if you can read a map you'll find plenty of structure to target. always a good thing to stop in at the muskyshop ... the guys there are dialed in.
i'll be fishing thursday and friday and would be glad to help you out if you need it. give me a shout and i'd be glad to meet you and mark a map if you'd like ... 715.493.7848 |

| Thanks for the info, I have spent quite a bit of time on these lakes. Right now which top-water would you use for muskies? I will be out early and late in the day. prop baits, walk the dog, crawler....? Which colors seem to work best, all black, black/orange belly, firetiger, perch..?
Thanks again, Doug |
