What is the main difference between the Steel 20 and 25? What are you using each for?

I have both... I use the 20 for blades up to and including d10's. The 25 is great for big cranks and mag dawgs. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I use both. The 25 is a little heavier, and is the best rod I have ever used for casting 10" Jakes. Even better than my Diamondback, which it replaced (Unfortunately I put a gouge in it and it could not be fixed). I can really zing a Jake into the wind pretty good, which if you've ever tried know is no easy feat. I've got my 25 built at 8' since I aggressively rip/twitch with it and any longer would be too much water slap for my taste.

I have the 15, 20 and 25 steels. The 20 and 25 have a similar tip however the 25 has more backbone(The 25 is stiffer once you get further from the tip.) The 20 is a great all around rod for topwater, all blades except 12 and 13, Med cranks.
The 25 can be used for med top water, cranks and blades beacuse it has a soft enough tip to cast them but the 25 will handle the bigger stuff a lot better. IE. 10 cranks, plastic up to 7-8 ounces, 12-13 blades.

Hope this helps. If you want a steel you better jump on it fairly soon. Loomis will not be providing rod builders with blanks after the first of the year.
