Location: NE Ohio | I'll be fishing on May 8th around the Holmes Bend marina... Anyone have thoughts on technique or lure choice? never fished here before...
I'd planned on casting in 6-10' of water with bucktails & cranks & jerks.
Thanks for any info guys. |

Location: Kentucky | I haven't been 2 Green yet this year, I've been hitting the Cave mostly because its closer 4 me. However, if I had my choice, I would fish only Green. I love that place man! There having a trinity tourney down there this weekend, hopefully we can get a report. Last year I tore the Musky up on the mainlake flat areas by shortlining. No monsters but alot of action. You may be able 2 pop a fish early or late in the back of a cove. I would fish the mainlake stuff though especially if the water temps get up into the 70s by then. I got a really good friend that has a cabin down at Holmes bend. I will try and get ahold of him 2 see how he's doing this year down there. He stuck a 48 incher and a 45 on back 2 back casts last year in the mouth of Butler. You may want to look into that one very early morning. LOL

Location: NE Ohio | Thx Rivermusky! Wow, sounds good- your message has got me excited now! I'll let the fiance' use the live bait while I throw the rattletraps! Not sure how much trolling I'll get to do... 70 degrees already? wow- its still 52 in the lakes in N.E. Ohio... hey, should I expect alot of boat traffic?

| You need to bring something other than rattletraps. That bite will be long past. |
