Location: NE Ohio | Hi guys-
I've logged in here off & on for a couple years reading about Lunge fishing but I've noticed alot of pike comments (unwanted pike most of the time!)
I'm going this sunday to probably the best Pike resorvoir in Ohio called "Mosquito" located in Northeastern Ohio. Our ice just came off about 2 wks ago.
I've never actually targeted pike and I'm hoping from some suggestions of lures.
I was going to use the traditional: spoons, spinnerbaits, swim baits and probably alot of larger rapala's. Should I use smaller muskie baits?
I was going to stay in water 10' & less.
Any comments are greatly appreciated! |

Location: 412 | large johnson silver minnow with a grub attached to it is awesome for pike.. larger husky jerks... buchertails... could get some bigger live shiners and throw em out there too. look for feeder creeks where waters going to be the warmest, I would go with slower moving baits.. might have to resort to a big jig with a swimbait attached to it. good luck!!! |

Location: Yahara River Chain | Dead bait is also great bait after ice out. But things slow and side to side will also work. Have a ball. |
