| These look like perfect boats for musky fishing. Does anyone use these boats for musky fishing? They probly don't take on big water but it looks great for inland lakes.
Thanks

Location: Des Moines IA | They look alot like Bass tracker/Tracker/G3 boats. Or is it just me who sees that comparison? |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I never actually muskie fished out of one but we had a bunch in the Heckels rental fleet and from what I gathered they would make a decent Muskie boat. However, this is by no means a big water boat. Lakes under a 1000 acres and or lakes over that on calm days you will do just fine. The boat ran awesome with a 50hp Yammie 2 stroke!

Location: Davenport, IA | The bigger Xpress boats ride great. The hull is well designed, and there are few aluminum bassboats that compare. They are also pretty quick, with a lot of them in the mid 70's for speed. The smaller ones though I've read about (and seen with my own eyes) extreme porpoising. But there may be a few things that can be done to fix that. As far as bad in rough water, I doubt it. I had an Alumacraft bassboat that did great in the river even when it was rough. I had it on a few lakes over 5,000 acres as well. I never felt unsafe in it. The bow does a great job cutting waves. The only thing that I really hated was going slow across waves with the low sides...they would go right over the sides and you will get wet. |
