Yellow Bird or Offshore? And with either do you have to buy anything extra? for muskie fishing applications- spinnerbaits, shallow smaller cranks, topwaters. Looks complicated, but it's gotta be easier than it looks.
Thanks,
Don

Either OffShpre or Church boards, YellowBirds don't pull out far enough to the side IMHO. I prefer the OS board but you will need to upgrade the snaps with a snap weight release on the front and a "snap" style on the back. The scary part is that you will be looking a about $50 a piece to set them up this way.

It's the Church tackle boards for me. They pull baits good and are the easiest to take on and off when fighting a fish. To me that is the most important because a fishes momentum forward could gain 10 feet on you fiddling with taking a board completely off two clips. Slack line headshake=lost fish. They will also not pop off your line completely. They can submarine when they stall, that is the only setback but set the weight back if it happens while trolling and if you are reeling in, steady retrieve, do not pump the rod and reel the slack, you will be just fine.

I am also going to be getting some boards soon. I'm getting church boards. I used them on a buddy's boat this fall and they seemed to work pretty well-even in a pretty good chop. They're easy to put on and take off and I like the adjustable weight. They're $5O or so for a pair and you don't need to add anything to them as far as I know.
