anyone tried these. do you use the pre-rigged double hook or rig yourself with some kind of magnum hook?

One of the guys at Operation Muskie last summer used one for a few days. He had great action on the bait, much to everyones surprise. I don't think he was using the 12"ers, but he caught a couple of fish on them. Not sure how he had it rigged up either.

Sluggo's are very versatile lures. You basically texas rig these big plastics with the large sluggo hook. Work with twitches like a #18 or husky jerk rapalas. Only because it is texas rigged, you can work through weeds. Just drives fish wild when lure is grinding through the weeds. I made a mold for sluggo's years ago. I think they are 9" baits.

after ya texas rig em, put a double hook with heat shrink tubing on the belly of the bait{attached to your texas hook} much better hooking percentages..and they work in spring!!
