Location: N.FIB | The last time out fishing in my boat in november my depth finder screen went blank on me,it was lit up but not reading anything.I`ve had it for about 4-5 yrs now and not sure if that was just a start of problems to come.I put it on the other day and it was working fine, nothing was on the transducer when this happened and I did turn it off and back on,unit is a humminbird 565.After seeing some nice gps units on the forums I`m wondering if it`s time to replace this unit |

| Same thing happened to our 5 year old Lowrance X-51. Lights and sounds, but no more display. Tried all the troubleshooting on Lowrance's website to no avail. It wasn't expensive so I'm not too worried about it. Will be replacing it with a newer unit. |

Location: WI | I had the backlight burn out 2 days before my vacation last year. Eagle sent me a new one (overnight) and told me to just send in the old one when I came home from vacation. Perhaps that's what's happening with yours. |
