Used both of these rods up on Vermillion, and was just as impressed with these as I was with the 8/6's.
The Jerk can handle any jerk or glider in your box. From 6-10", I had no problems casting or working the lures.Heavy lures cast with ease. A real arm and wrist saver.
The Lipstick rod is the best rod that I ever used for cranks or twith baits. Again, the rod does the job of casting and lures from 6'ers to 12" Jakes, and whether twitching, yanking, or just pulling the lure, the rod absorbs all of the shock and makes using any of those type lures much easier.
All the rods in the Legend Tournament series score and A+ in my book. I'll be turning blue in my boat this year. You be doing youself a diservice by not trying them.

i've been very impressed by the Lip Stick as well.
i find it's moderate action great for straight cranking even hard-pulling cranks, also very good for light bucktails and in-line topwaters. i reach for a different rod with faster action for twitching and ripping, the Lip Stick is more suited for straight cranks.
it's as good a rod for cranking depthraiders, cranky nitros, and ddds as i've used. very light weight rod, and great sensitivity really lets you feel the lure's action and when you're ticking weeds or bumping bottom.
i'd moved away from St. Croix rods the past couple years, but after getting this one i'm planning to invest in some more from the Legend series this winter.

I just recently got the Lip Stick in June. The greatest rod I've ever felt. I honestly don't think I am going to buy another rod that is not a legend tournament. The tip cracked on me in July but it was a quick fix. I'll throw ANYTHING with it except DCGs and other hard pulling bucktails.

The color of my shop really has changed colors over the last year with the Tournament line of blanks from St Croix. Lots of cobalt blue in it.

I know I have said it before...most musky folks notice the great action on these sticks...do not overlook the durability on the new design. In my opinion....they are currently the best musky blank on the market today.
