Heading up next weekend with the family for a week's stay out of Bent's Camp on the Cisco Chain and can't wait...I took the advice of many of you and booked a trip early in the week with Mr. Bruce Becker to stalk some big girls -I'm pumped!

However, I'd love to hear some feedback and any tips/structures/spots for muskies (and walleyes or bass for that matter) that you care to share on fishing the Chain.

Also - any "don't miss" attractions or restaurants up there for the family?

Thanks guys,

Jeff

The best thing you have done is hire Bruce. I caught my forst musky in his boat. He has fished this water since he was a teenager. He makes most of his living on the Cisco Chain. He has quietly built a huge reputation as a big fish (walleye and musky) guide in Vilas county, but most of his fish come off the Chain.

Ask him about the water if you are with him early in the trip. Morning spots, evening, or weather related questions. He will shoot straight with you. I fished with him about a month ago. While we were fishing together, he stopped by another boat of guys that he had guided earlier in the week to see how they were doing. They had caught a big fish off a spot he had shown them earlier in the day. I thought it was cool that he took the time to check in with them. Bruce is the real deal in musky guiding.

Stop in at Mark's store for breakfast sammiches, subs and pizza. He's not even 5 minutes from Bent's, twords LOL's. I can't believe he didn't even give props to his own shop! Great food and Mr. G always knows what's happening as far as lakes go.

If you're looking for something to do in the evening, cruise up hyw 45 into the UP and see the Paulding Light. Its about 30 minutes away.

thanks for the advice guys. Been hearing about these lights for years and looking forward to checking them out for myself. Will also stop by your shop, mark. Thanks.
