okay, im an on again off again m.i. member and now back on again as i was told my local chapter was in trouble so i joined up again. just got the magazine in the mail 6 weeks after i mailed the check. on the label above my name it has the chapter no. in my case 23-cleveland. then a hyphen with a 5 digit number. is this my membership number? i think it is. i thought they used to send you a membership card with a letter or something...

Welcome back!

You will get a membership card in the mail at some point. If I remember correctly they run the batch every month or two. If you renewed 6 weeks ago you should see the card fairly soon.

Yes that is your membership number. As far as your membership card goes, I think the administrator sends the names to the printer to have the cards made up and sometimes it takes a bit to get them. But like the last post says your 5-digits will get you into the member only site of the Intl web site.
