So, I stopped and looked at a boat today. 1990 Lund 1600 Stinger, 45hp Mariner overhead carb. If I recall correctly, that was the motor of choice for walleye backtrollers for the longest time, was it not?
Anyhow, not a whole lot of bells and whistles to this thing, which is kinda what I am looking for, wired front and rear locater/flasher and it actually has a gps/finder with it.
My concern, however, is the prop and skeg are shot, and there is a considerable amount of denting/damage to the hull itself. The guy wants a lot more for the boat than it is really worth.. It is in pretty sad shape to pay that. I did have a chance to fire the motor, and it appeared that it was in very good working order.
So, what would YOU guys say would be a fair price on the boat. I would realistically value it at under $2, but don't have a judge to go by since I almost never see them around here.
With that said, it really is almost perfect as far as what I have been looking for.

Gee, should have thought of that in the first place.

Not sure if Steve will let me post this but if you go over to this website, you'll see a lot of boats like the one your talking about. You should be able to get a feel for the price.

This site along with M1 are two sites that I'm watching while I'm shopping for a boat.

If you can, wait another month or so and the prices will drop even more.

Good luck!
