| i found something that works really well and easily to get those dang water spots off the screens of your sonar and gps displays. i started thinking about it, they're hard water spots, ie., mineral deposits left behind when the water evaporates. that's the same thing you get in your bathroom if you have hard water in your house. so i wondered if i could find a hard water bathroom cleaner that would do the trick but also be gentle enough to not ruin my screens. here it is: Comet Bathroom. (it's basically just a solution of citric acid) spray it on a cloth and wipe the cloth on the screen with a bit of gentle scrubbing. the cleaner will dry and leave a slight hazy film on the screen. grab a dry microfiber cloth that came with the sonar/gps and wipe off the haze. works great and i now keep a bottle in my boat! | Great tip. Don't ever use any wipes with bleach, or you'll be sorry. I've got some stuff that pretty good too. Lysol Food Surface Cleaner. It's bleach free, and does a good job, but I have noticed some streakinesss, but like Lambeau said, use the cloth that came with the unit. It's hard to keep anything in a boat dry, isn't it? I'll give that stuff a try, and the I'll wind up having to clean the bathroom  | |||
