| Anyone have any pros or cons? I have a neighbor looking at buying an 07'. I personally have heard nothing bad. Anyone running one with some input(good or bad) would be appreciated. |

Location: Contrarian Island | i think you will find there isn't much bad to say about ETecs..in shopping for a new motor recently ETecs got rave reviews by every dealer I talked to and Lee Tauchen had a 90 Etec on his Ranger that for the most part was a great motor...
I think your neighbor will love it...my 2 cents |

Location: De Pere Wisconsin | I have a 06 tiller. Been very good so far. VERY snappy motor and the new handle is quite nice. The manual does not properly give the winterization procedure. Calling BRP will get the right method - apparently what is in the manual is for the remote steering( wheel) versions. I was a total 4 stroke guy before this motor, and am curious if merc will ever do a 60 opti??? |

| I don't think Merc wil go back to 2-strokes in the lower HP's. They have a lot invested in the new 4-strokes. Maybe some Verado technology in the future? |
