I am in the market for a new color locator/gps. Just wondering what everybody thinks of the selections out there. I have used a Lowrance LMS 332 in my friends boat and like it, but have found deals on other locators and wondering if they are as good as the Lowrance and Eagles.

Right now I am leaning towards an Eagle Fish Elite 642 because it has more pixels than a 332. However, some people are trying to convince me to get the Humminbird 787c2 or Garming 178.

My main question is if the graphics of the Humm. or Garmin are as nice as the Eagle/Lowrance.

Of course any other input would be helpful too.

Thanks much

Might want to check out boatersworld.com. They had an Eagle Seachamp 2000c for $499, normally $1000. 640 x 480 pixels. Nice deal. I'm going to use a sigle frequency transducer, add GPS antenna, and then fish.
