i like the color of the black bird top raider. In the new musky hunter issue on page 55 there is a awsome pic of a topraider in the water. Just a thought; since the tail color of the top raider is not black; its a brighter color, does this help this bait in catching fish by getting the muskie's attention? Man is it ever gonna be a long winter I'm already asking dumb questions (A-ROZ doesnt get to comment on those last few words!!)

I like having the tail on those types of baits a lighter color because I think that it gives the bait a bit more contrast. Not sure if it matters or not.

It sure helps you see the bait!! You might be thinking well i can see the thing all the time anyway.... well when theres a good chop or in lowlight conditions they stick out rather well!

I always modify my blackbirds tails' with paint, to increase their effectiveness.
