Posts: 2384 Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | I finally found my camera cable to download pics from this weekend. Paul Hartman leases a rearing pond with some of the proceeds from his tournament trail as well as donations from the MN Guide Association. His group in conjunction with the TC chapter of MI when in and netted his pond this spring and got 175 28"ers out of there to be stocked in White Bear Lake. We then put in muskie fry to be netted this fall. In the meantime the TC chapter and the MN Tournament trail bought a net to be used on this pond and for future muskie stocking ventures. We went into the pond this past weekend expecting to get around 1000 fingerlings. Instead we got 176 26-30" fish, all fish we missed in the spring. They must have been feasting on muskie fingerlings all summer, because we only got 2 fingerlings all day. Feel free to contact Paul Hartman or myself if your interested in helping in spring or fall of 2006. It was a great time and very satisfying to know that you can directly contribute to the resource.
