| What is everyone's favorite sinking or neutrally bouyant crankbait to use for suspended fish? I typically throw countdown depth raiders or Triple Ds. I have heard good things about the Shark countdown from River Run tackle but haven't seen one in action.
Has Bucher's new soft plastic swimbait been used by anyone? |

| I also like the Lindy Big M in both fresh & saltwater. Nice big/slab profile that suspends.
For a smaller, jointed bait that sinks, I like the single jointed Radtke Pike Minnow.
A step up in size from the Radtke's, the Hi-Fin CD Diver is a really good bait.
Of course, most wood or solid plastic baits can be drilled n' filled to sink/suspend, but it takes some experimentation. |

| Just threw a countdown shark last week while fishing for suspendos with a well known guide. Very erratic action even on a steady straight retrieve. No need to twitch it as it will dart one way and then the other. I will be buying one for next year. It has been one of his top producers and he throws it at night too.
He also had one of those swimming Joe's by Bucher but it gets shredded after 1 or 2 fish and I don't think you can melt them together like a dawg. |

Location: Elkhart, IN | I was playing around with a Magnum Rapala this last week that worked pretty good as a sinking crank. I just got one of the Swim'n Joe's this last week also and it looked good enough in the water to filet. I got the perch colored one and it looks great. You definately don't work this one as fast as regular cranks though, its more of a slower bait. |
