| What can I expect at the Warroad border crossing? We ususally cross at Thunderbay - and it's pretty smooth. Is Warroad some kind of video declaration? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks |

Location: Rhinelander, WI | The Warroad crossing is pretty straightforward. It is a normal manned crossing. I have only crossed it twice once in once out. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. As you cross back into to Angle there is a videophone at a cross road and Young’s Bay. We didn’t stop at the crossroads and just checked in at Young’s.
If you are staying at a resort located in the US and plan to fish everyday in Canada consider getting a RABC so you don’t need to check in with customs each day you fish. There is info on Frank’s board at the link above.

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | My previous experiences with border crossings (prior to Warroad) was at International Falls. The Warroad crossing is much nicer. Seldom a waiting line and straight forward check ins. My first time at this crossing the patrols were nice enough to give me a map to my final destination. |
