| I already have the WMT and MN muskie tournament schedules. But I want to know WHERE and WHEN for all the tourneys you all know. Zach and myself are setting up a page on site that will give you all easy reference to when and where these events are being held. This will help those who like tourneys and those who dont...[;)] [] Any tourney..big or small...we want to know about them all..[] | |||

| The First WI chapter of MI will be hosting it's 26th annual on the waters of Chippewa and Rusk Counties. The 2002 dates are Sept. 13-15. Last year, 290 anglers caught 96 fish during the 2 1/2 day event. The largest fish was 50". Entry fees are modest. Last year's single entry fee was $35, I believe. You can view last year's results and see the bodies of water included at this url: http://www.muskiesinc.org/chapters/06/tourney2001results.html There are many great prizes available for those who place to choose from including cabins stays, gps units, top line rods and reels, etc... We also have A LOT of drawings. Last year, we raffled off a week's stay w/ one day of guiding for four people at Walsh's Bay Store in the NW Angle LOTW. We also raffled off two $1000 cash prizes. You don't have to catch a fish to be eligible for these drawings. Most importantly, the proceeds from this tournament go back to stocking the area waters. Our club maintains a rearing pond. As many of you know, last year, suckers weren't cheap so we really appreciate the support this tournament gets from many people. Without this tourney we would have had a tough time feeding the lil' Muskies. We have set records for fish caught and number of contestants entered three years in a row. There are many places to stay and, with many waters to choose from, you aren't forced to fish "pressured" water. If you'd like any more info, give me a shout. | Fox River Valley Chapter will host the 6th Annual Challunge on the Chain Saturday April 27th on the Fox Chain, IL. Last year many fish were caught including a nice 48" by Keith Eldrup. Highlights of last year are currently avaialble on our website. Details including a .pdf format tournament entry form will be available soon on our website at: www.frvmuskie.com This year we have incrased the payout for first place to $3,000 and are paying down to 10th Place. We will also have another outstanding raffle with high quality items including a one week stay at Everett Bay Lodge on Lake Vermilion. Good food and a few beers will be provided. Hopefully we have improved on a great tournament and have something to offer everyone. Get your entry form in before 04/01/02 and save $20.00 per team. Thanks for helping us acheive our fund raising goal last year to all those who participated. | |||
