Location: lansing, il | this is kinda a cross post from another board but id love to hear what everyone thinks. with all the talk of too many fishermen and tons of pressure, taking care of the fish, etc. should states like indiana that have no closed season start thinking of closing part of the year to musky fishing in order to protect what we have there? i love to fish well into dec, and being able to get out at ice out, but im starting to think its time for some change in order to protect the fish. i dunno what do you guys think??? yes we should have a closed season? or no it should be open year round, gimmie some input. |

Location: oswego, il | I think for states that have successful spawning should have a closed season of their normal start time untill ice up. That should be how it should be. For states that don't like illinois, indiana, ect, musky fishing should be closed during ice up only. |

| Iowa has finally agreed to close the season. Many many Muskies killed thru the ice with single hooks on bluegills(can use panfish as bait if caught legally in Iowa) Major league positive move. Mostly due to efforts of the Upper Great Plains Chapter of MI. |
