As seen on Muskie Central, posted by orchard frank...

Here's an idea I've had for a while-- a slow sinker minnow imitator that RISES on the retrieve, lip on top of bait maybe? If you ever watch a dying fish this is what they do, slowly sink, struggle to the top.

I love the idea. Anyone else ever thought about it? Want to try making one? What do you think?

Lobi I was thinking that exact thing just the other day!!! Then I remembered the recent In-Fisherman article about Doug Pearson's garage full of crazy, worthless lure ideas. But if someone wants to design, build, field test, mass produce and offer it for sale at a reasonable price, don't let my opinion stop you!

I'm convinced that everything we need to catch muskies from any enviornment already exists, but that won't stop me from tinkering and buying.Too much fun!I picked up a bunch of inserts and weights from JoMusky last weekend and have been playing for 2 hours. Can't wait to wash some specially weighted suicks!I bet you could weight one to rise on the retrieve and slowly settle.(hint , hint).Try some different stuff and different weight placement.Experiments gone awry can be fixed with some epoxy and spray paint.Fish don't care.Have fun tinkering! lobi, the small 6" wiley jerkbait does exactly that. Still trying to find one though.

I might make some myself if someone can tell me where the lead is located on those wiley jerkbaits?
