| Hi all,
I’m headed to Lac seul next week with my son (12). And my brother and his son (11)
We want to bread away from Lac Seul for some muskies for a day or two and my research has told me canyon and Indian are good action/numbers lakes. I am the only one of the 4 of us that has any Muskie experience so I’m much more interested in numbers than size.
Any tips or recommendations for choosing between these two lakes? Feel free to email me if prefered [email protected]. Looking to cut the learning curve if possible
Thanks everyone |

| Also any help locating public access would be helpful! |

| Haven't fished either lake but have a friend who has gone to Canyon a couple of times and we discussed his experience. He told me if I went there to throw small baits and fish the wind blown rock points and non-wind blown wood. Couldn't find a good depth map to point you to any other spots but have heard it is a pretty clear lake so be ready to hit it hard during low-light. Public access on Canyon is on the farthest east point of the lake near McIntosh Lodge. For Indian the access is also on the east side on Alexandra Access Road just north of Indian Lake Lodge. Best of luck and report back on your findings! |

| I fished the entire chain last season. Forest and Canyon are significantly deeper than the remainder of the chain. Wood and rocks are the deal there. As to the other end of the chain: the system doesn't have a ton of weeds. Find the weeds, and you will find fish. Baits were downsized for me. Regular shallow swimmin dawgs work well, mags were ignored and this was late summer. |
