If your boat is registered in Wisconsin and no plate can you cross the border and drive into Canada with no plate on your trailer?

Pretty sure as long as you are compliant for your state, you are good there.

No problems the past few years crossing at NW Angle or International Falls.

I’ve pulled a boat into Canada 50+ times, only one time was I a little nervous, in Iowa we need a plate, … long story short our group of 3 boats stopped in International Falls and my buddy noticed my trailer plate was missing, (I actually think it may have been stolen) -anyway I just rolled up to cross answered the question and was on my way in 3 minutes, how 90% of my crossing’s have gone..pretty sure they are only looking at your vehicle plate. Your 100% fine if legal in your own state, and possibly fine if you were not, I don’t think they looked to make sure that you’re boat registration or plate is current in your own state although obviously it should be for multiple reasons ha!
