Posts: 354 | Hello, A couple of weeks back I sold some of Joel's baits. I received a lot of messages asking me to post a picture. It's taken a while but here it is. Joel can be reached at [email protected]. He builds a couple hundred baits each winter. This years list is full, but you can get on the list for next spring. (Spring 2005) Some of the finest craftsmanship goes into the making of these fine baits. Through wire construction, stainless steel wings, spreader or regular hook placement, real eyes, and most importantly all are tank tested and tuned for the perfect sound. Joel also makes beautiful globes, flaptails, thumpers, etc. If you have any questions drop me a line on the messenger. The baits shown here sold quickly. Numerous guides and well known musky "personalities" throw them but the best part is they are great fish catchers! Quite a few 30lbers have fallen for them! Enjoy the picture. Posts: 354 | The spreaders on the creepers, globes, fetch n catch, flaptails, etc. work really well. I haven't found them to be anymore troublesome than other topwater baits. I do believe the spreaders dramatically increase the hooking percentages. Almost all of the fish I caught last year with Joel's baits had at least one spreader hook which hooked up. He does have customers who ask for more standard type hook placement. He will make them however the customer wants them. One other thing to note which is deceiving about the picture is that most of his baits have the old original Le lure design with spreaders out each side. You can only see the spreader on one side (in the picture) because of the way the bait is positioned. Edited by greenduck 1/16/2004 8:44 AM

Posts: 440 | I see, I will look closer. Here I thought it had a standard hook set up with a stinger hanging down. Are those brass blades on the topper?
