Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin

The War Pigs, AKA Ralph and Joe, scored BIG Sunday to defeat Norm Wild in MuskieFIRST's  Matchfishing Championship shoot-out on a cold November Sunday.

Norm Wild had his lake selected, and the fish active on suckers. He contacted enough fish for the win, including a monster fish I am acquainted with presonally, which seperated Norm from his Quick Strke rig in a heartbreak at dusk. Unfortunately for Norm Wild, the fish plain didn't get stuck on the quick strike rigs, leaving them vulnerable to a single fish win from the War Pigs.

That was not going to be the case!!

Joe and Ralph easily took the Championship with a 32, a 37, and a 40.5 scoring THREE  for the final event.(http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/thread-view.asp?threadid=12787&posts=2)

Congratulations to the both finalists and the Champions! MuskieFIRST will award Joe and Ralph with Championship Title shirts made especially for MuskieFIRST by  Toucan, our clothing provider.

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs		Congrats to the WarPigs for their victory, to NWild for working so hard and getting to so much heartbreak in the finals, and thanks to all who participated.
Before we delete the Matchfishing Forum, I'm going to post one last "questionarre" to all who participated and all who are interested in potentially doing it again or for the first time next year, so please go there and offer up any/all opinions!

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain		A big thumbs up to the War Pigs--these guys were tough when they needed it. A three fish day to take the championship is kick @$$. Glad I was fortunate enough to make it as far as I did and got to fish against the champs. Enjoy your glory---I'll get you next year!!

A big congrats to you also, I kept telling Joe that we needed a "BIG" fish to win against you. I had my chance and blew it and thought that I had cost us the Championship.
Oh well, that's how Musky fishing goes.
Again, it was fun competing against you in the finals.
