I am considering trading my 2004 620 for a 2016 521c. My trips to LSC have not been as frequent as I had planned, and I seem to fish bass nearly as much as I fish muskies (trending more towards bass as I age). That said, I do want the option of fishing bigger water.
What experiences can you share comparing a 620 to a 521, or of fishing from a 521 on large water? Thanks in advance. |

| Howdy,
Having owned Fisherman Series and Z Series boats, I can say that the Z Series is a superior fishing platform so long as you are not a troller and don't need to travel in big waves and rough water. So long as you can check those boxes I think its a great call.
For what its worth I have a 522D now, so its really the best of both worlds. That said, if the D series never came out, I would still be using a 521C.
Take care,

| I went from a warrior 2090 with a steering wheel and got a 2015 20'1" bass boat, it really surprised me how well my bass boat can handle big water, rough water, just keep think things through you will be fine. As said above you wont miss the 621 unless you troll |

Big water is the only issue and I don't run into many days where it is that big of an issue. I fish Mille Lacs a lot. If the wind and waves are awful on one of the lake I'm not going to fish it no matter what, I don't care what boat i'm in.
The fishing platform of the bass boat is awesome and I don't think it can be beat. I have a family and the 620 is a better choice but the bass boat still gets the job done.
Take a test ride before you buy. You may nor may not like it.
takes some getting used to in big rough water but it's manageable. |
