Its late October on Cave Run Res in KY. Water temps are in the low 50''s. There still is some good weed growth on the zipple flats. The lake is at normal level. Wind out of the south at 10mph, high today of 68 degrees.

Whats the pattern and presentation that will put fish in your boat.

I would toss a Baby Raider Jtd in Miller Perch color and work it twitching and jerking. At the warmest time of the day I would be casting at the Zippo Beach, sand and sun mean warmer water, this will attract baitfish and where the baitfish are are where the Toothy Critters will be.

Besides carrying extra Paydays and Coke Cola for Spongebob, I would be casting spinnerbaits [white or yellow]around the weedbeds after the sun hit the water. before the sun burns thru, topwaters in the back of the coves would be another choice for a big muskie. If these didn't produce, I'd throw a jerkbait arould the standing timber and if I could find standing timber with weeds that were still alive and green then it would have to be the first area that I would hit and probably work it several times during the day. Only seen this lake 1 time but it made a believer out of me. Lots of areas that could hold the fish of a lifetime and it all looks good.[:)] [::)] [:praise:] [:knockout:]
