| Do any of you have experience replacing the plastic insert on a seat base that looks like the one linked below?

I've attached some pics of what the plastic piece looks like. This base is built under my carpet and lining so I think I need to replace the plastic insert to get a pedestal back in. I wish they installed bases above everything else.

| couldn't attach pics - too large. But the plastic piece is in the center on the metal mount which you can see through the link. any advice is appreciated. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I don't think that style is replaceable, you will need to replace the complete base. Easiest way is to use acetone to loosen the carpet glue and cut an X big enough to get the old base out and reglue the carpet. |
