I looked at this reel this weekend, and am curious to know if this is a new version of the 7000.I already ran a search here to find out more about this one, with no results,so can anyone give up a bit of info., or experience with the 7000 C4? Thanks.

Yes, use 7000 exclusively for my casting applications...Great reel..Very good for burning bucktails and spinnerbaits because of the bigger gears and low ratio...

The 7000c4 I looked at was a lever drag reel, and did not look to handy for casting. I use 7000's almost exclusivly, but will stay with my c3's.

All the 7000C4's I've seen have been lever drag trolling reels. If your looking for a 7000 take a look at the new 7000HSN.
