Location: Illinois | Any help would be appreciated, but my father in law is going to be in the Rhinelander area for a couple days and is looking for a lake to fish. He's not necessarily a musky fisherman, but really any species or more particularly walleyes. Any thoughts?
Thanks!! |

Location: minocqua, wi. | Boom can be tough ... when it's on, it's the only place i'd like to be
Julia is a good choice off the grid a bit
Crescent = clearer water with best shot at bigger walleyes
Oneida is one of my ... nah, maybe my favorite and a good cheeseburger at the Alpine (if it's still running ... been awhile)
George or Thompson - nice digestible size with quality fish
Moens Chain is boring to me
Hancock - been there once because i had to ...
Sugar Camp Chain ... just up the road and worth the trip ... 2nd favorite vs. Boom
some good quality guides in the area ... Hodag Guide Service (Scott Biscobing) and Lee Bastian if he's still guiding for Rhinelander (you should be able to find him at Mel's and get good advice there) ... Gary Myshak on the Sugar Camp Chain

Location: Wisconsin | I would suggest lake George as a quality chance and fish and nice size. If he is willing to travel a short distance up to Carroll, that is a nice spot. Tons of lakes to fish within a short distance! pm me if you have any questions! |
